Thank you all for letting me vent and for your kind comments to calm me down. I think I've fully gotten over it, I mean, how can I keep the pity party going when there are so many people out there that have it SO MUCH worse right now. I mean, at least it was just my wallet.
On another note:

I've heard it's a really, REALLY bad idea to knit skirts. But I am really, REALLY digging this one. And it would only cost about $35! Someone, anyone, convince me why this would be a good/bad idea....

The yarn looks as evil as Berroco's Cotton Twist.
I'm loving that pattern too. I think that I would use different yarn though. Maybe linen
That skirt looks cool. Very gypsy/Stevie Nicks...you could totally rock it.
The skirt would fit right in with the whole boho thing right now.
I really like that skirt too!
I like it, but it would have to be a *really* lightweight yarn or it would sag.
How bad could it be? It's about the equivalent of 2 shawls and it's only yarn. If you hate it, rip it out.
Yikes I was sorry to hear about the thievery. I'm glad to hear you're feeling better.
that skirt is quite nice, but I can't imagine having the patience to knit it...
only because you asked ...i have seen some very cute skirts on knitty.com, and even interweave knits. this is my nice way of saying i'm not a fan of this particular skirt :) by the way, who's pattern is this?
It depends on how much time it will take you to knit it. . . I personally think it will be something you may not like in a year or so -- but that is my bias. On the other hand, I'd enjoy watching you progress!
