Suntastic San-Fran Saturday

This totally made my weekend:

Click the photo of the scoreboard to see the score!!!

Sunny, 75 degrees, good friends, good beer, walk-off homerun in the bottom of the 9th!

This however, did not. 5 1/2 hours to get home. 2 hours alone from Union Square to the Bay Bridge. We sorta forgot to take into account the Gay Pride Parade! The only good thing is we got some great views of the festivities from the car. Too bad to I was a little too hung-over to knit most of the time.

About all I could muster to do last night was wind Solstice into a ball. Here she is, in all her pinkish glory!
  • Prarie Tunic front is into her 4th and final ball. So close, I can almost taste it!
  • I have finished 2 individual socks with no mates. I'm not worried, it's 108 today and wool on my feet would be worse than Chinese water tourture.
  • I've decided to try out this strategy seen at Brooklyn Tweed for the sleeves on A-Line and The Cropped Cardi.

Who is that cutie with you in the picture?! :) Heh, I saw what Pride Parade here did to traffic, but in San Fran?! Whoa baby.

Wow, that is a really clever way to do sleeves! Thanks for the link - it'll be fun to see the process.

Un-lurking to say Hi since you were in town!
I'm glad you had a great weekend--the weather was beautiful up here--but I forgot about the parade too and ended up way out of my way so I know how you feel!

Thanks for your suggestions about the bulky cardi sleeves from hell. I had already ripped mine back so just ended up doing a few fewer decreases, but I bet the top down method is going to work perfectly. I can't wait to see more finished!
