Knit Picks Shine, Color: Sea Foam
Size 7 + 8 needles
Ok I know, it's not that bad. It's more that b00b thing I was talking about that is bothering me. And it's too short. I really like the way the top is constructed and how it looks on the hanger - but on me, not so much. This may be gifted away to someone shortly.

Brown = Fair Isle Sweater in Knit Picks Main Line, Blue = Placket Pullover from LMKG in Rowan Cashsoft DK.
I don't post much on Saturdays... but I'm home being TOTALLY lazy; NOT going out and running the 10,000 errands I should. Instead, I've been knitting almost non-stop since 9am.
Since it's Saturday, here's my Saturday Sky, It's a crappy photo; imagine that the sky is actually blue.

Doesn't Viva look amused?

I think the mandarin top looks really good.
I really don't think it's as bad as you think it is, but if you're not comfortable wearing it, I understand. Perhaps if you wore a lower cut cami underneath. Sometimes, the more coverage a busty girl wears, the more whale-like she looks and feels. As a busty one myself, I deal with that a lot. Just a thought.....
As another woman with occasionally oversized looking mammaries, I identify. I am not sure why this is, but cotton on boobs is a bad bad combination. Fat suit. Don't understand it but there it is. I also have just faced the battle of boobs using up the inches so that the top is shorter than I thought it would be.
Still, I do (as the viewer) really like how that top looks on you. And it's a lovely piece in its own right.
One of the reasons I'm a lurker at your blog is how wonderfully you choose things to suit your figure and how amazing you look when modelling them. I find it inspiring.
I don't think it looks bad - but the too-short thing would drive me crazy (and has on things I've knitted and given away in the past!). Hee hee - that's a wonderful picture of Viva!
I think it looks better on you than on the IK model! It looks a lot different with the lack of ties. :)
I understand the too-short thing and the busty thing though (like stuntmother mentioned, I think it's the cotton). I have to lengthen my ribbed tops a little because of my chest (or use short-row shaping).
I'm busty ánd big and although stripes lenghtwise do slim a bit, as soon as they hit the bust area, the form waves to accentuate my boobs. Low, low, low V-necks work best for me. And after knitting 'Tempting' (Knitty.com) in cotton, I'm having second doubts about cotton too, stuntmother might have a point there. Nevertheless... great job you did and whomever (?)wears it in the end should wear it with pride!
