New Yarn from Michaels
SWS in Natural Earth & Shetland Chunky Tweed, both from Patons.
CONGRATS to Patons for coming out with some great, AFFORDABLE new yarns this season. The SWS is a Soy-Wool blend that I read about over at Livejournal, and I find it to be VERY similar to Noro Silk Garden. It's also much softer, if you can live with the limited color palette. Here's a photo of Viva's a*s, along with how it knits up:

This is Lady Eleanor from Scarf Style. I'm in LOVE. It was initially a gauge swatch but I haven't been able to put it down.
I am also putting this out there to see if anyone is interested. I have 6 balls of Rowan 4ply Cotton in Bluebell up for grabs. It's in its original package, from a smoke-free home. I'm open to sale or trade, so make me an offer if you are interested (leave a comment or email delia dot ann at gmail dot com). Approximate retail value is $36.

I saw the SWS the other week at Michael's and was intrigued. Thanks for the pic of the Lady E done with this yarn. For about $5 a ball, I must try it.
Interesting yarn...might have to check it out...thanks for posting about it.
OOh, I have good coupons for Michaels and a great desire for Lady E.
A shopping I must go!
That SWS looks very interesting. I love how it looks in that pattern. I've been wanting to try that shawl since I bought the book. Thanks for sharing!
Hi, stranger! Heh, if you drop by, you'll be shocked at things that have happened in 18 days...
That SWS looks great - hey, if it isn't as prickly as Silk Garden, more power to it!
I found the SWS in Michaels the other day, and I tried it out too. I thought it knit up well and really had a nice look. Glad it's not just me. I've always wanted to try Lady E. I just learned entrelac and finished the market tote so maybe I'll try it next. Is your Lady E in the SWS or the Chunky Tweed? It's hard to tell, but it looks gorgeous!
