I am CRAZY in love with that one on the left (Sleeveless Tuxedo Shirt). I even have the yarn, Louet Euroflax Sport Weight in black, from a booched attempt at a nightgown. Definitely an ideal project for the days when it is 110 in the shade and just picking up wool makes me sweat. I think that Origami Sweater would be flattering with some waist shaping, but I'm not in any hurray to make it. I'll buy the magazine solely for the Tuxedo Shirt. Anything else made from it is just a bonus.
Last night I took a quick run into Joann's because I had a 40% coupon. Their yarn selection absolutely sucks (at least Michaels carries Cotton Ease!), but I found a lone Patrons Street Smart booklet that came out to something like 3$. I've seen a number of finished Cabled Hoodies that I covet (That or i'm subconciously stashing projects because I know that come September, I'm going to be a strict budget a la new homeowner.) So now I'm looking at Plymouth Galaway Highland in these two colors:

What do you think?

Not thrilled with the preview. Somehow, that tuxedo top looks like you. Very chic for your wine-drinking good times.
You found the Street Smart booklet? I've been wanting that book! I guess I'll have to make a trip over to Joanne's later this week. Although I did find a similar cabled hoodie in another magazine.
Lastly [I'm long winded today], I like the lighter color on the right, but so many hoodies are done in that light tan that it might be nice to go with the darker.
I was also underwhelmed with the IK preview. I usually always find at least a couple of things I want to knit!
Good find at JoAnn's!
For you, definitely the lighter. It will glow.
I'm afraid to look at the preview - everything I've heard is underwhelming... I think the lighter color.
I looked for MONTHS at my Joann for the Street Smart booklet, and they never had it. I finally ended up ordering it online when there was a free shipping deal. That's awesome that you were able to find it and use your coupon! I like both of the colors, but trust the people who know you if they think the lighter is better for you.
I'm with Chris, I haven't clicked to the IK preview, I'm afraid to look.
Love those colors, with either you can't go wrong....both are so neutral..........
Hmmmm, I hate to look at the preview....I hate to be disappointed!
