This is Matt's early Christmas gift (Merry Christmas, babe!) He's been wanting a Dog for ages, and I basically enabled him to bring her home. I've always been a cat person (never actually 'owned' a dog!) but I am warming up to her.

My only condition when Matt picked out a dog was "no desire to eat Viva". So we are working on introducing them. So far they just seem curious of each other, but then again they haven't gotten any farther than peering at each other through a sliding glass door. This should be fun.

Next WIP: a Doggie Sweater.

Katy looks very much like an Austrailian Cattle Dog or Queensland Heeler; AKA Blue Heeler. I recently put my 16 year old Red Heeler down. They are the greatest dogs in the world; very protective of thier enviroment. They are busy and need to be part of a team. My best to you and Matt she will be a great addition to your family.
She is beautiful! She def. looks a lot like a Blue Heeler, which are awesome dogs. If she's part border collie, she's a super smart pup...watch out for that, she'll surprise ya. :) Congrats on the new edition!
Congrats! She's adorable!
be wary of the sliding glass door... my dog ran STRAIGHT for the door and hit it so hard she blanked out for a few seconds and just looked super confused.
please... hang some stickies low on the door for the love of the dog =)
ps. you guys definitely love each other! good luck on training Katy and introducing her to Viva!
Good for you adopting a dog! As a friend of mine says, "Nobody loves you like your dog".
We had an amazing cat that ruled the house. One of my favorite childhood memories is hearing the scrabbling feet of our 2 dogs...they go running by the door as fast as possible...then you see the cat go running by. He was chasing the dogs!
what a fantastic Christmas gift.
and i love that you have another "someone" to knit for! :)
