Jazz Hands.

Viva, in all her vain, insisted that I enter her in the Purrfect Kitty Contest. If you've got a moment, take a look and give her some love.

I went home to visit the new addition this weekend, and boy is that kid cute. I'm not sure if i've ever held a baby that was less than 1 week old! I was the only one of the siblings that would hold him, unless you count my brother who picked him up for 2 minutes and forgot to breathe he was so scared.

I also finished up and gifted the Cardi and booties. The booties were a perfect fit - he went home with them on his feet (no photos though... BOOOO). I'm ready to tackle baby gift #2 - anyone have any cute patterns for a little boy to share? In the meantime, I started the Hot Lave Cardigan, and finished about 1 ball of the Manos. I also started Matt's socks, and finished the pattern for my mystery sweater. Work is slowing down so I should get some good knitting time in this week.

While I was home, my mom shared some photos from San Luis Obispo a few weekends back. She couldn't stop laughing at these two - Can you tell that my sister and I used to be dancers?

Check out those jazz hands! Don't laugh, that form won me the tournament.

Chevy's Salsa, Part Deux.
Ok, we tried again and here are some more edits:
1) 6 large Hothouse tomatoes are key
2) Strain the salsa to get rid of excess water
3) 1/2 a White Onion = 1/4 a Spanish Onion

Has anyone else given it a go? How did it turn out?

Jazz Hands! Too funny.
What a cutie baby!
I haven't had a chance to try the salsa, but once I have a chance I'll let you know!

For baby patterns I like the Rowan Babies book...tons of very cute patterns that are quick and easy.

I'll have to try the salsa soon as I am addicted to salsa!
