Congratulations--when I looked through the new knitty today at work that was the one pattern that I really wanted to knit right away! They're beautiful
Great job! That's so exciting. It's a great pattern and I can't wait to see the other versions in blogland (as I'm sure you're looking forward to as well).
I like the pattern and I love your yarn choice for it, but I do think you should have put a picture of how loose the floats need to be so people understand that is how it gets the extra stretch. I have had to add 4 stitches to the pattern and pull my floats extremely loose to give enough room to fit who I am making them for. And she doesn't have big calves. Just thought you should know it would have been helpful at the start of the pattern. I do love them so I didn't really mind frogging them back to the ribbing when I realized they didn't have enough stretch! I will be posting updates on my blog on how they are coming along.
