The new hubby and I headed down to Coronado on a little "pre-honeymoon" right after the wedding. [Our big trip is next January, when we go to Italy and Greece, but that is for another post].

We stayed at the Loews Hotel, which I can't recommend strongly enough, and generally did a whole lot of nothing except eating, drinking, and lounging (which included a bottle of wine and YUMMY food on a Wednesday at 2pm for no good reason, other than just because we COULD)

Most of our planned activities, like whale watching and the Cays Gondola ride, got rained out, but it didn't really matter to us.

I knit like a maniac during this trip, which was nice because I hadn't been able to knit a stitch in a couple weeks. I pretty much knocked the entire Back-to-School vest on that patio.

No blocking yet, but overall I am pretty happy with it. I love the shaping at the bust, it's perfect for my body type ["busty"]. I used Knit Picks Wool of the Andes in Maple Leaf, 4 skeins, and size 7 needles. Raveled here.

wow, I wish I could tear myself away from the computer long enough to get that much knitting done... I fear I might have a slight case of procastination slash random surf addiction going...
Loew's is beautiful! Sorry our San Diego weather didn't treat you nicer - but it looks like you had a wonderful time anyway :)
The vest looks fantastic, and I'm so glad you had such a wonderful honeymoon!
It looks great, and I love the combination of colors with the shirt you chose underneath!
May I just say that I'm in utter envy of your big honeymoon! Sounds like a wonderful trip, and it's nice that you got a pre-honeymoon as well!
The vest looks really good!
