On Saturday, we were a part of the tourist mass on the Freedom Trail. That night we had dinner at the Union Oyster House (from your suggestions, thank you very much!), then checked out the OTHER Cheers, which was disappointing compared to the first in my opinion. Maybe it was the 2 bachelorette parties, or maybe it was the the college couple making on the stool next to us. But this little guy had fun:

That's Roy. We
Then came the trip home, which lasted WAAAAYYYYY to long, by the way. All I'll say about that is I was able to knit 220 yards of worsted weight yarn, LAX can suck it as far as I am concerned, and stopping at a truck stop in Bakersfield at 3:30am is not an experience for the weak of heart. Roy wanted to drive but he just sat on the dashboard the whole time.

Knitting
So I talked about knitting 220 yards on Sunday (that would be 1 skein of Cascade 220, for those of you keeping track). Sitting in an airport, then on a delayed plane, then on a 3.5 hour drive home will do that to you.

See, I was good and only took Thermal with me, but at Windsor Button I bought some Cascade 220 in this yummy burgandy tweed, which I am working up into this. I'm onto the final front, then it just needs some blocking and a collar. I'm going to see if I can finish it up before I leave for Santa Cruz on Friday.
Wedding
Ah the wedding. How do I love/hate thee. All I will say is I hate the guest list. Hate it. But other than that I've been zipping right along... we are under 180 days to go! This weekend my mom and I worked on my invitations, which are going to be a mix of pre-fab and DIY (We are sending out like 350, and my mom and I only have so much spare time!). They are going to look similar to these (far right), but with a more earthy print design to them. We are going to print and assemble them ourselves, then embellish and tie them up with some gorgeous ribbon. I think my knitting life will suffer greatly.
I also bought my dress, which I will give you a small peak of. I'm not concerned about Matt seeing it, since he's already seen the full size photos. We're not superstitious around here.

Roy approves.

Boston...how much fun was that? Glad you had a great trip...and I will agree with you that LAX sucks! You drove all the way down here? That's even worse!
The dress looks beautiful! And my cousin chose invitiatons like that for his wedding in August...I thought they were beautiful and elegant...all the things a wedding should be!

Your dress is sooo pretty! Mad props on doing that many invites yourself.

Beautiful dress!
Bummer you were JUST in Boston! I'm heading there this weekend!!!
Love Boston - I've family there and grew up in New England. I learned to city drive in Boston -- it's WAY harder there than in NYC any day!!
