Alpacas On The Loose in LA
Last night I was at my Bunco group and the conversation turned to the newly birthed TomKitten, Suri.
I had to physically stop myself (after a few glasses of wine, of course) from asking in disbelief "they named her after an alpaca?"

OMG- I am a Bunco player too!!! A friend of mine started a group last December. We play every 4th Thursday of the month. It is so much fun!!
That was the first thing I thought of when I heard the news.
I was tempted to boycott alpaca yarn due to the association to Tom Cruise that "Suri" will now have for me. Thank God that urge passed.
Ack.
I thought the same thing too, and like another one of your commenters, considered boycotting alpaca yarn because of the Tom Cruise connection.
It could be worse - they could have just named her Alpaca. Alpaca Holmes-Cruise has a wacky spawn of celebrities ring to it.
