Who says you can't get anything for free???

Not the most ARTISTIC piece, but I told La that I would get on the ball with making SOMETHING. One of these days, I will make a prettier one. But for now...

The Irish Hiking Scarf

Here are some photos of the Irish Hiking Scarf, which I am making for my brother as an Christmas gift. He just moved to NYC and isn't used to the cold yet, so I figure this thing will be nice and warm for him :)

That is only 1 ball of Cascade 220 (plus the little bit that's left in the bottom photo). I am going to do one more full ball before calling it quits.

So while I had the camera out I started snapping photos of what was around me on this Wednesday evening:

This is our fish tank in the living room. 2 of them have names: Angelina, the angel fish with with a disease that makes her lip swell up huge, and Butch, the little guy who tries to beat up all the others.

My night
And of course, the kitty kitty
Now back to the Wine and Needles....

This is the WINE portion of Wine + Needles

Every Sunday should be like this:

Three kinds of goat cheese, Brie, some German cheese that smelled like fish, olives, bread and of course WINE! In Delia and Jenny's world, this IS Sunday, in a tangible form. We were going to attempt JenLa's Drunken Stitches game, but we didn't need any help with our wine consumption before hitting Mission Ale House to celebrate Halloween.

Speaking of Vino, I recently added some bottles to the wine rack:
Obviously I L-O-V-E Bonny Doon Vineyard. If you are ever in the Santa Cruz area, I HIGHLY encourage you to visit their tasting room. 7 flights, $0, eye candy tasting room attendants, and a BEAUTIFUL drive up the coast. Don't get much better than that.
