20 Weeks

Hello, belly!

How far along?
20 Weeks

Total Weight Gain: 1 lb (+9) since pre-pregnancy (and I swear, all of it is going straight to the belly!)

Maternity Clothes? Maternity pants are becoming a MUST. Unfortunately I only have 3 pairs and 2 of them are jeans, so I really need to do some shopping.

Stretch Marks? Nope. Body butter application to 3 times a day.

Sleep? Sleeping great, actually. However, I'd really, REALLY like an extra 3 hours every morning.

Best Moment This Week: Reaching the mid-point of pregnancy; finding out gender!

Movement: Strong and consistent. I'm feeling kicks and not just flutters now.

Food Cravings: Pickled Radishes (if you have a lead on where I can buy these in bulk, I will be forever indebted to you!). French Fries. Frozen Yogurt.

Gender: It's a BOY!!!

Labor Signs: Nope

Belly Button - In or Out? In

What I miss: Raw sushi. I would give anything for a slab of ahi right now. And wine. Not alcohol, but the taste of real wine, not the alcohol-free stuff. I don't forsee either of these changing in the next 5 months, but I've had a couple sips of wine to feed the craving.

What I am looking forward to: Putting together the nursery.

Weekly Wisdom: Maternity yoga is god-sent.

Milestones: 1/2 way mark!

I said last time I'd return to knitting content, and I'm about 90% there. Photographed some FO's and cleaned up Ravelry, so I'm hoping to blog them tomorrow!

17 Weeks

Note: I swear there will be knitting content on this blog again. I've actually been cranking out the FO's like crazy, I just haven't gotten around to photographing and such. Very soon, I hope.

How far along?
17 Weeks (I'm actually 18w2d today, but we'll count this as last week)

Total Weight Gain: 3 lb (+8) since pre-pregnancy (oops! I blame the Holidays. Or the French Fries from my favorite lunch joint that I just cannot get enough of!)

Maternity Clothes? Yes and no. I wear the Maternity jeans when I am going to be moving around a lot, otherwise my normal pants work with the band. Still a mix of flowy pre-preg tops and maternity tops.

Stretch Marks? Nope. But my skin is starting to itch so I've upped the body butter application to 3 times a day.

Sleep? Sleeping great, actually. However, I'd really, REALLY like an extra 3 hours every morning.

Best Moment This Week: Feeling the Bean's consistent movement everyday!

Movement: See previous. Matt has finally gotten a chance to feel it too. It was so strong it actually woke me up last night.

Food Cravings: Pickled Radishes (if you have a lead on where I can buy these in bulk, I will be forever indebted to you!). French Fries. Frozen Yogurt.

Gender: Not sure anymore. Gender ultrasound tomorrow!

Labor Signs: Nope

Weekly Wisdom: Baby's R Us still scares the crap out of me.

Milestones: Mastered sleeping with the body pillow.

2009 At A Glance

January: Celebrated my 1 year wedding anniversary, albeit alone because DH was away at a work conference.

February: We spent 10 glorious, wonderful, exciting, perfect days in Italy. I got to meet my Italian family and see the village we are from.

March: I turned 29! Forever 29!

April: Hmmm... what the heck happened in April.... PASS.

May: I paid someone to cut my hair for the first time in 5 years. Yes you read that right.

June: My Brother-In-Law got engaged, setting off a massive wave of engagements and consequently weddings in 2010.

July: Got to attend a wedding at THE Los Angeles County Club. It was very nice.

August: Vacationed in Monterey, Yosemite.

September: Baked my first EVER loaf of bread.

October: FOUND OUT WE WERE GOING TO BE PARENTS! AND, my little sissy got engaged 1 week later.

November: Hosted Thanksgiving for the second time, but made it exciting this year by doing it 11 weeks pregnant with wicked morning sickness.

December: My mom stayed the night at OUR house on Christmas for the first time, instead of the other way around.

2009 was a great year, but OH BOY 2010 has a lot in store for us. 4 close friends having babies, all three of our siblings are getting married, and oh yeah, we will be PARENTS in June.

Happy New Year!
