On an unrelated note, I had to share a funny story from lunch earlier today. I went to my favorite crack sandwich shop, and was standing there in line minding my own damn business. Now, I work at a University so I am used to seeing "interesting" people on a daily basis, but this dude comes in behind me, looking like a cross between Mark Cohen from RENT and a hobo (PS - while searching on Wikipedia, I learned something new about my name). So anyway, Mark the Hobo preceeded to push my "personal space" line to the limit the entire time, including getting close enough to look into my purse while I was paying for the crack sandwich. The people who work there all know me, and were laughing as we were partaking in that game of "I take one step away, you take two closer". It was beyond weird.

Speaking of weird.

How many times have you showed up at a party of 20 that was BYOB and seen this much tequila on the counter?

(I would also like to point out this party was at my mom's house. And that there is a handle bottle of the same crap missing - where could it have gone?)

I see TNB has been hitting it hard....

Reason #398 Not To Knit When Drunk

See that third twist? That would be Saturday night about 10pm and 3 glasses on wine in.

DAMMIT!

But let me distract you with the yumminess of Rowan Cashsoft

(No you aren't seeing things. This used to exist in a different, sh*ttier yarn. I threw it away and started over.)

Happy, Shiny, and New

I'm an auntie for the 2nd time!

But I'll be damned, I forgot to take a picture of the finished baby sweater before gifting it away. Hopefully I'll have a photo of her in it soon!

Stash enhancements:

1) Knit Picks Gloss, for some socks for Matt, and Andean Silk, for a scarf for Alexis

2) Knit Picks Totem, one of the weird sale yarns that showed up on the website about a month ago. This stuff seems like it will be awesome to knit something with. It seems very sturdy, yet is super-soft from the Modal. I bought enough for a sweater and it cost less than 30$. Someday, when I finish one of the 8 billion projects I have started, I'll swatch this and give a full report.
